Metal-made Huawei G8 will be launched this month, fingerprint scanner in tow
Huawei first presented the G8 smartphone back in June, though, at the time, it didn't say anything regarding its launch date. Well, today, at IFA 2015, after announcing the Mate S, Huawei unveiled that the G8 will be available starting later this month (September).

For the beginning, the G8 will be released in many European markets (including the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Italy), as well as in Australia and South East Asia. The new smartphone will carry a recommended retail price of €399 (about $447), and customers should be able to buy it in three color variants: dark silver, gold, and white.

The Huawei G8 runs Android Lollipop with Huawei's Emotion UI on top, and is an upper-mid-range device that's made out of metal and sports a 5.5-inch screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels. Powered by a 64-bit, octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, the G8 has a fingerprint scanner on the back, just below its 13 MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization. Other features include a 5 MP front-facing camera, LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage space, and a 3000 mAh battery. Is anyone here planning to buy this new Huawei device?
