Messaging fix coming for Droid X devices running froyo
Motorola Droid X users were finally upgraded to Android 2.2 last week. Since the update, many users have experienced issues with their messaging application According to Motorola; a fix is on the way.
The bug in the software update is causing messages to be arranged in a non-chronological order. When a new message is received, the message displays itself in the middle of an already existing conversation. Normally the latest message would show up down bottom, with the rest of the messages shifting upward.
It is definitely an inconvenience, especially for those that are heavy messengers. Searching within a large thread for newly received messages can’t be fun.
Not all users have experienced this issue, but for those that have Motorola is adamant about a software update that will soon be rolled out to Droid X devices over-the-air. For all of the Droid X users out there, have you experienced this SMS error with your Android 2.2 update? Give us your thoughts in the comments below.
