Meizu to announce its plans for Europe at MWC
Last month, one of the hottest handset manufacturers out of China, Meizu, announced that it was making a strong push to enter the U.S. market this year. The company's Meizu MX3 is expected to hit the states in the third quarter with its 5.1 inch screen, 1080 x 1800 resolution, and  octa-core Samsung Exynos 5410 processor under the hood.

Besides the U.S., Meizu is expected to be making a run at the European market. According to the manufacturer's head of international business, Sierra Ma, the company will officially announce which European countries it will enter at next month's MWC in Barcelona. The plan is to offer handsets with the same high-specs as Samsung's flagship models, but with a price tag 30% cheaper.

The Meizu MX3 will be sent into Europe, but by the time the phone hits the U.S. in Q3, the OEM is expected to be ready to offer its next model, believed to be the Meizu MX4. Meizu CEO J. Wang has already teased that the device will have a 5.5 inch screen with a resolution of 1536 x 2560 for a pixel density in excess of 500ppi. There is also talk that a Meizu phone running Ubuntu will be released sometime this year.
