The Meizu MX5 is now available in India. The manufacturer's flagship phone, the MX5 is equipped with a 5.5-inch, Super AMOLED display carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the screen offers a pixel density of 401ppi. A MediaTek Helio X10 chipset drives the device, and includes a 64-bit octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and the PowerVR G6200 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of non-expandable memory.
A 20.7MP camera with Laser Auto Focus and 4K video recording capabilities adorns the back of the unit, while a 5MP snapper can be found on the front of the handset. Keeping the generator humming is a 3150mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner is on board. Flyme OS 4.5, based on Android 5.0, is pre-installed. The mBack touch-sensitive home button performs different tasks depending on how hard you press the button. Sounds a little like Force Touch, except it does not work on the display.
The Meizu MX5 supports 4G connectivity and is a Snapdeal exclusive in the country. The phone is priced at the equivalent of $302 USD.
