Make Android your home phone with Binatone's iDECT iHome phone
If you are an Android user, you might want to extend the functionality of the OS to your home phone-if you still use one. Binatone's iDECT iHome phone uses an unnamed build of Android (1.6?) to power a wireless, cordless phone.
You will get most of all of the great things that the green robot offers like YouTube, Internet Browser,e-mail, mp3 player and more. The only major feature missing is the Android Market. The phone offers 8 hours of talk time and 80 hours of standby and is equipped with a 14 minute digital answering machine. The display is a 2.8 inch resistive touchscreen with resolution of 320 x 240 and a look at the picture below surely brings back memories of Android builds from the past (who could forget the analog clock?)
Unfortunately, distribution of the iHome phone is limited to Europe where it retails for 99 EUR (approximately $139 USD). Hopefully this product will make it across the pond so that those Android users in the States can continue to use Google's open source OS at home. You can check out the areas where the product is available by clicking on this link.
