Magic Smart Covers? Check out this window display at the Regent Street Apple Store in London
Those passing by the Apple Store on Regent Street in London, have been doing a double take when they see this group of Smart Covers for the Apple iPad. The covers appear to open automatically without any human assistance or the use of any wires. Is this going to be a stunning new feature for Apple's accessories line in 2015, or is this a marketing ploy designed to grab the attention of consumers walking down the street?
We truly don't expect Apple to introduce self-opening Smart Covers so we will assume that the store rigged this up for its window display. Considering that the accessory uses magnets as a way to connect to the iPad, there could be some additional magnets strategically placed to make it appear as though the covers are opening on their own.
The Smart Cover for the Apple iPad Air and the Apple iPad Air 2 (the cover will fit both models) is priced at $39 at the online Apple Store, where it is offered in various colors.
