Lumia brand disappears from Microsoft's US online store

Microsoft has quietly ditched the Lumia category from its US online store, replacing it with a link to the company's Educational Store. All the info is still there, thankfully, and can be reached by clicking “Windows phone” in the “Devices” drop-down menu from the store's main page.

It is unclear when exactly the change was made, but we could determine that it happened somewhere between the 6th and 11th of August. The UK Microsoft online store still has the “All Windows phone” category on its front page.

We don't know what that means for the Lumia brand yet, but if previous rumors are anything to go by, probably nothing good. The quiet removal of the Lumia tab from Microsoft' s US online store was spotted by eagle-eyed MSPoweruser reader by the name of Mark.
