Low to mid-range Meizu M5 is certified in China
Expected to be unveiled on October 31st, the Meizu M5 is a low to mid-range model that carries 2GB of RAM to start, advancing to as much as 6GB of the stuff. The phone has been certified in China by that country's answer to the FCC, TENAA. Meizu gets to erase one of the tasks on its 'to do' list, and we get to confirm some specs and see four different angles of the phone via photographs.
The Meizu M5 carries a 5.2-inch display with a 720 x 1280 resolution (HD). Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6750 SoC equipped with an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU, and the Mali-T860 GPU. There are three variants of the device. On the low end is one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is a model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The third version contains 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those who are seeking additional memory. Alibaba's YunOS 5.1.1 is pre-installed. This is the third largest smartphone platform in the world, trailing only Android and iOS.
