LevelUp mobile payment system now available for Windows Phone
How would you like to use a mobile payment system that gives you cash to use on your first visit to a participating retailer, and on average returns to you $30 to $40 each month? We're talking about LevelUp, which has been around for iOS and Android users, but is now available for Windows Phone owners as well. A map at the sourcelink lets you plug in your city and see the name of participating retailers. If you don't see that many merchants yet in your area, don't pout. With merchants paying zero commission on each sale, it won't be too long until more join up. In addition, LevelUp helps target customers by co-marketing with local businesses.
The process is easy. You go into your platform's application store and download the app. Link a credit or debit card to the account and look for a merchant that accepts the system. Not only is this simple to set up, but LevelUp uses QR codes so NFC is not required, allowing most smartphones to support the system. This is going to give Google Wallet, Isis and other mobile payment systems a run for the, ahem, money.

"LevelUp is much more than a mobile payment app. Between the money it saves consumers, the analytics and the zero interchange fees it offers merchants, it has a great value proposition. We are thrilled LevelUp gets how the Windows Phone platform can showcase their app, especially on the Nokia Lumia smartphone family, including the new Nokia Lumia 900. The whole team here at LevelUp is working day and night to make sure that you can pay with your phone at your favorite merchants all over the country. Half of our job is inviting merchants to stop paying outrageous credit card processing fees and join our Interchange Zero payment network," said . "The other half of our job is making sure LevelUp is the best mobile payment experience imaginable for our users, no matter what device they’re using."-Mark Fletcher Director, global partnering & application development, Nokia
