Last year's PRODUCT Red Apple iPhone 7 Plus
A memo to Virgin Mobile employees that was obtained by
MacRumors, states that the pre-paid carrier will be adding (PRODUCT)Red versions of the
Apple iPhone 8 and
Apple iPhone 8 Plus to its inventory starting tomorrow, April 9th. The memo adds that there will be a pre-order period, so its likely that the new models won't start shipping until later in the month. And Apple isn't expected to hold a new product event, but will announce the (PRODUCT)Red iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus through a press release. That is how
Apple introduced the (PRODUCT)Red versions of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus in March 2017.
There has been speculation that Apple will soon add new color options for the 2017 iPhone models, but the memo doesn't mention anything about a (PRODUCT)Red version of the
Apple iPhone X.
As far as the tenth-anniversary iPhone model is concerned, a gold hued variant has been rumored and could be part of Monday's press release. In addition, we also could see Apple introduce its
long-awaited AirPower wireless charger tomorrow.
Every purchase made of a (PRODUCT)Red Apple product, including certain accessories, results in a contribution to the global fund to fight AIDS. It's certainly a worthy cause, and we would expect the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus to look positively radiant in a vibrant red color.
