Leaked BlackBerry Torch 9810 OS build packs along mobile hotspot functionality
As hard as they try, RIM’s mobile platform might appear to be behind the times when you compare it to the competition. Of course, some of us might still prefer its antiquated appearance, but we’re sure that there are others who long for the platform to offer mobile hotspot functionality.
Thankfully, that drought might soon end, seeing that a new leaked OS build for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 has been recently leaked. First and foremost, after downloading the leaked build to your computer, you’re going to need to sideload it by using the BlackBerry Desktop software. Once that’s done, you’ll see the device showing OS version 7.1.0.74, but more importantly, it grants you access to the useful feature of mobile hotspot functionality.
Being a standout feature on platforms like Android, it’s especially useful in getting your other gadgets connected to the web. It’s been MIA with BlackBerry, and interestingly enough, they’ve let other newer mobile platforms like Windows Phone beat them to the punch. Despite the wait, it’s here right now for the taking – though, it’s in an unofficial manner. Nevertheless, we’re sure there are going to be some people out there who wouldn’t mind taking the risk.
