As we've seen with a number of China-based firms over the past few years, LeEco has recently decided to try and crack the lucrative U.S. market. Having
set up its first office in Silicon Valley, its first port of call was, naturally, to
take a swipe at Apple's apparent lack of innovation. Since then, there's been more talk of the company's
big Stateside splash, and numerous leaks have alluded to some potentially exciting hardware. Per a newly leaked AnTuTu screenshot, the LeEco Le 2S Pro could be one to watch, particularly if the score of just under 158,000 is accurate.
From what we have gathered thus far, there will be a
standard LeEco Le 2S, perhaps bundled with the Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The higher-end variant of the LeEco Le 2S — possibly the Pro model seen in today's AnTuTu leak — looks set to be blessed with Snapdragon 821 and up to 8 GB of RAM.
As for the design of this forthcoming handset family, LeEco has recently confirmed that an all-metal finish will be offered. This ties in with
alleged snaps of the Le 2S, which showcase a slick-looking overall profile.
It's not yet known precisely when LeEco plans to roll out its the Le 2S line, but rumor suggests we should discover the finer details during the first week of September.
