Latest rumor calls for extremely thin Apple iPhone 7
The Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus both became a little thicker when compared to the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Apparently due to 3D Touch, both new models rose in thickness by .2mm when compared to the prior version of the phones. For example, the iPhone 6s is 7.1mm thick, up from the 6.9mm that the iPhone 6 measures. The iPhone 6s Plus is 7.3mm thick compared to the prior version's reading of 7.1mm.
But new rumors suggest that Apple has put the Apple iPhone 7 on a diet and the next iteration of Apple's iconic handset will measure between 6mm and 6.5mm. Removing the 3.5mm earphone jack is expected to give Apple some room to make the iPhone 7 even more svelte. It was hoped by many that Apple would use the extra space to put in a higher capacity battery instead of just making the phone thinner.
A higher capacity juicer still might be on the table. A picture that we showed you last month allegedly reveals that the battery of the iPhone 7 will have a 6.5% increase in watthours from the 6.61 WHr on the iPhone 6s cell, to 7.04 WHr. A similar percentage increase would take the iPhone 7 battery to 1826mAh from the 1715mAh of the iPhone 6s battery.
