Latest CAD image of Apple iPhone 8 is right here
Amid rumors that the 10th anniversary edition of the Apple iPhone (which we will call the iPhone 8 for now) could be unveiled at WWDC next month, the latest CAD (Computer Aided Design) image of the handset has been tweeted by tipster OnLeaks. Right off the bat, the source admits that the image might be a fake, but we guess that goes with the territory. The image shows the vertically placed dual-camera setup in back, just like we've become accustomed to.
Other interesting things that we can take away from staring at the design, include the lack of a Touch ID button on the front or the back of the phone. This suggests that the fingerprint scanner is embedded under the screen. Unfortunately, it is this technology that is rumored to be at the heart of a possible delay in the release of the handset. A previous leak mentioned that the side buttons are not mechanical, but are sensors that do provide haptic feedback.
While we would suggest taking this story with a grain of salt, we should also point out that it was a CAD design captured in a photograph that gave us the first look at the Apple iPhone 6 a good six months prior to its unveiling.
