LG eXpo happily receives a custom ROM for Windows Mobile 6.5.3
The LG eXpo may have gotten lost in the mix of Windows Mobile smartphones if it weren't for its unique add-on pico projector accessory that easily compliments its high-end status. At the same time, it finally brought forth LG's S-Class interface running on top of Windows Mobile 6.5 to the US market. For those who decided to side with the LG eXpo as opposed to the dominant variants of the Touch Pro2, there is a custom ROM that will bring the platform up to speed and into Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Thanks to one xda-developers forum member, Dark9781, the customer ROM runs the latest 23563 build of Windows Mobile and removes those some times pesky AT&T apps found on the smartphone. Additionally, there are some other perks included with it such as Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 and SpriteBackup. As with anything related to ROM flashing, just be sure to backup all your important data before going through with it.
