LG and B&O combine to offer premium audio experience on the LG V20
When announcing that the LG V20 would be unveiled in San Francisco on September 6th, LG stated that the phone would feature "the best video and audio experience." From the start, LG hinted that this device would be a multimedia beast. To that end, LG released a press release today telling us that the premium audio capabilities of the LG V20 is the result of a partnership between LG and B&O Play. The latter is the fastest-growing unit of Bang & Olufsen, and concentrates on portable audio.
LG and B&O Play worked together to give the LG V20 a sound described by the manufacturer as "natural and balanced." In the box with the phone will be a pair of B&O earphones, and the B&O logo will be one of the wallpaper choices for LG V20 owners.
We already know that the LG V20 will be the first smartphone to employ a 32-bit Quad DAC audio chip. This component turns digital files into the sound that LG V20 owners will be hearing. According to LG, the chip "delivers a crisp and clear sound that comes closest to a live performance" with a 50% reduction in ambient noise.
