LG also prepares an ECO-friendly phone
It seems that this year will be crucial for the mobile industry. On one hand, the global economic crisis hits hard everyone and even the leader Nokia has to cut employees. On the other, the problem with the pollution of the environment attracts more and more attention and the mobile manufacturers have to find a way to deal with this issue. In this relation, Samsung is going to release its phone, Blue Earth, but it seems that the other Korean giant, LG, is having similar plans.
At MWC 2009, LG will present its ECO Friendly Zone, along with many other products that are gentle with the Mother Earth. This includes a phone with solar panel, which is said to offer 3 minutes of talk time after only 10 of charging. The company will announce its plans to use smaller packages, made of recycled materials. It will use eco ink that is harmless to people. Sadly, there are no further details about this phone, but we promise to inform you about everything that we hear of it in Barcelona.
