LG V30 starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie update at Verizon
LG has kicked off the V30 Android 9.0 Pie rollout about two months ago, but the update has yet to arrive in the United States. In fact, there are many countries where the LG V30 Android 9.0 Pie is not yet available for download, which is quite disappointing.

Well, at least SOME users are getting the update, even if it's not bug-free. Many Verizon customers have taken to Reddit to report they have just updated their LG V30 units to Android 9.0 Pie. The build does have minor bugs, but it's nothing that will slow down your phone or make it unusable.

According to a screenshot shared by one of LG V30 owners who capture the update, this is an unusually large download. The LG V30 Android 9.0 Pie update weighs in at 2.25GB, so make sure you have enough free storage before attempting to download it.

Verizon is the first carrier in the US that offers LG V30 users the Android 9.0 Pie update. However, the Big Red has yet to refresh the LG V30 support page on its official website, which would confirm the wider rollout of the update.

We expect other US network operators like AT&T and T-Mobile to deliver the update in the coming weeks, but it's impossible to predict an exact release date at the moment. Stick around if you've bought your LG V30 from a US carrier other than Verizon and we'll let you know when Android 9.0 Pie is available for your phone.
