LG V20 will be released in Canada, Android 7.0 Nougat on board

LG will officially announce the V20 on September 6, and should start selling it soon after that. The handset will be unveiled during an event in San Francisco, so it will certainly be released in the US. Now, we're learning that the new smartphone will also be available in Canada.

According to Mobile Syrup, an LG spokesperson confirmed that the V20 will be sold in Canada, though it's not clear exactly when this is going to happen. Nevertheless, that's good news for Canadian LG fans, especially since the V20's predecessor, the V10, was not officially released in their country.

Earlier this month, when LG confirmed that the V20 will be showcased on September 6, it also said that this would be the world's first device to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The new smartphone will hit shelves before the end of this quarter, which means no later than September's end (though we can't know if Canada is among the first countries to get the handset).

LG did not reveal any of the features of the V20, but we expect it to be similar to the V10 in some regards, including having two displays (a large, main one, and a secondary ticker one). Recently, some alleged LG V20 specs leaked out, but an LG official refuted them as being "mostly incorrect."

Are you waiting for the LG V20 (in Canada, or anywhere else)?
