LG: U.S. and Germany to get LG G2 launched later this month
The eagerly awaited LG G2 will be launched in the U.S.and Germany later this month. LG made this announcement on Tuesday morning. The phone has a unique design with the power and volume keys on the back. The 5.2 inch screen offers edge-to-edge viewing with 1080 x 1920 resolution, and is the first smartphone to launch globally that will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

The 13MP camera on the back of the phone comes with OIS to keep videos stable. Videos can be captured in 1080 x 1920 at 60fps and 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi playback brings studio quality sound to the video playback. And like most cameras on flagship models these days, the camera takes viewable snapshots even under low-light conditions.

In the U.S., we've seen Verizon already put up a sign up page where those interested in the device can leave their email address to receive notifications from Verizon when the carrier is ready to take pre-orders on the phone. Last month, we heard that the LG G2 will be launched via AT&T and Verizon on September 12th. Eventually, both Sprint and T-Mobile will also be offering the phone. So far, there are no rumors about the pricing of the handset.
