The LG Stylo 5 is T-Mobile's newest Android phone
Starting this weekend, T-Mobile customers can buy the LG Stylo 5, a new Android smartphone that was first launched in the US at the end of June. Also released by T-Mobile's prepaid brand Metro a few weeks back, the Stylo 5 is a mid-range handset with a feature that's unique for its price range: a stylus pen that enables users to swiftly jot down notes, sketch, and draw on the phone's large screen.
While the LG Stylo 5 costs $239.99 at Metro, T-Mobile is asking a bit more for it: $275, or $11 per month for 24 months. Despite this price hike, there are no differences between the Stylo 5 that you can buy at Metro and the one that's available at T-Mobile.
Sporting a 6.2-inch screen with 1080 x 2160 pixels, the LG Stylo 5 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, has 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and a microSD card slot. Other features include a 13 MP rear camera, 3D surround sound, a 3.5mm audio jack, fingerprint scanner, and a 3500 mAh battery. The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and will (hopefully) receive major updates for two years from now.
You can buy the LG Stylo 5 from T-Mobile's website, as well as in stores.
If you don't necessarily need a stylus pen but you want to purchase a new T-Mobile phone priced at under $300, some nice options besides the LG Stylo 5 are the Motorola Moto G7 Power (sold by T-Mobile for $240), Samsung Galaxy A20 ($250), or Samsung Galaxy A10e ($175).
