LG Revolution comes to revolutionize Verizon's world
Just as we were waiting for Verizon's press conference here at CES to finally commence, we were hit with the outing of a few of the devices that will constitute the carrier's LTE lineup in 2011.
One of the most intriguing offerings seems to be the LG Revolution, which we heard will be here a bit earlier. The handset has a really bold name, and we wonder if it will be able to live up to it.
As you might expect, the Revolution will have a respectfully-sized, 4.3-inch touchscreen, while a front-facing camera will let you do video chats. The main camera unit on the rear of the device will have a 5MP sensor with autofocus, HD camcorder, and an LED flash. Data speeds that the LG Revolution is expected to achieve on Verizon's LTE network are as follows: 5 to 12 Mbps for download, and 2 to 5 Mbps for upload. Thankfully, the handset will be able to act as a Mobile Hotspot, so it'll allow you to share the data network via Wi-Fi with up to 8 other devices. Other goodies on board include Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI port and DLNA.

It looks like the phone is to launch with Android 2.2 Froyo, but we hope that an update to 2.3 Gingerbread will be released shortly.
