LG Optimus One sales reach 2 million, AT&T-flavored Optimus One coming soon
We are starting to wonder if this is not some sort of a marketing campaign for LG with all the denying and uncertainty over the LG Optimus One upgrade to Android 2.3. In any case, we are glad that LG changed its mind and decided to update the handset and LG should be glad too as sales of the LG Optimus One have reached 2 million units and an AT&T-flavored edition seems to also be in the works. The AT&T version of the handset is expected in early 2011 and given the device's positioning, pricing should be very affordable.
Sales of the Optimus One family stood at the impressive 1.3 million only in the U.S. With such sales LG is on the right track to achieving its target of 10 million sold Optimus Ones in total. Less than a month ago, sales of the lineup stood at 1 million, but was it for Kelly Brook's captivating smile or for some other reasons, the fact remains that sales were even more robust in the last couple of weeks.
The LG Optimus One already comes in five different flavors (the LG Vortex for Verizon, the LG Optimus S, T, U, M for Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and MetroPCS, respectively) for all major carriers but AT&T. Do not forget to check out our giveaway – you won't get the Optimus One, however we are sure you will know what to do with the LG Quantum or the LG Optimus 7 as well.
