LG Optimus G Pro to get updated with some LG G2 features, and a new QuickWindows case
Amid rumors about a May launch of the LG G Pro 2, a published report out of Italy reveals that the LG Optimus G Pro, the former Android flagship from the Korean OEM, is going to be receiving an update. The update will bring some features of the current flagship model, the LG G2, to the older model. One of the features coming over is KnockOn, which allows you to unlock and lock your phone with a double tap to the screen.
In addition, there will be a QuickWindows case that offers the same capabilities as the QuickWindows accessory for the LG G2. According to the report, there is also the possibility that the case will allow the LG Optimus G Pro to reveal a "dedicated interface' through its opening, accessible without having to open the case.
The report also goes on to add that the update is expected to take place only in Korea for now, but we wouldn't be surprised to see it eventually migrate to other markets including the U.S.
