LG Optimus G Pro coming to Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and CIS in Q3
In a press release earlier today, LG Electronics has announced its plans to expand the availability of its Optimus G Pro phablet to over 40 countries spanning from Latin America to the Middle East, Europe and member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Winner of the 2013 'Best LTE Device' award, hosted in Amsterdam, LG's phablet packs some serious punch under the 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display. Doing the heavy lifting is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 – a quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, aided in its graphical endeavors by an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Shipping with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the device is powered by a massive 3140mAh battery.
Back to the release at hand, the UK doesn't seem to be part of the expansion effort of the South Korea-based manufacturer. Whether that changes may be entirely reliant on how fast the country rolls out a more complete LTE network – so far, only EE (a joint-venture between T-Mobile and Orange) offers 4G on the island.
