The LG Optimus 4X HD will get updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the first quarter of 2013, according to an email sent by an LG representative. The update should arrive at least to Europe at that time, and we’d guess that also means internationally. Good news is that right after receiving the update, the Optimus 4X HD will also get its bootloader unlocked.
Now, this of course is as close as it gets to an official statement by LG, but it’s not exactly 100% official so we’d reserve a shade of doubt.
Still this is more likely to happen than not, and Jelly Bean should been even more fluidity to the Optimus 4X HD with “Project Butter.” It is also bringing Google Now and actionable notifications among other changes.
