LG Optimus 2X European release date to be Jan 2011
The LG Optimus 2X is something we are all looking forward to with a great deal of anticipation. Thankfully, it seems that the wait will be even shorter as the first dual-core smartphone is said to hit Europe in January 2011, according to yesterday's announcement by LG. The handset, which was expected to make its debut at the MWC in February, features NVIDIA's Tegra 2 chip.
Official pricing is still an unknown, but down in Sweden the sleek-looking LG Optimus 2X was put up for pre-order with a retail price of $730. That Tegra 2 chip inside is a huge part of the hype around the device and if you have missed the speed boost it gives, take a look at the videos we showed you earlier putting the Optimus 2X against the Samsung Galaxy S and the iPhone 4.
In the meantime, LG also announced that it will work with composer Ennio Morricone, an icon in film and music. Music ringtones by Morricone, including 15 titles exclusively composed for LG, will compliment your ears on the upcoming Optimus 2X. The tracks will come pre-loaded on some models succeeding the Optimus 2X and will also be available for free on LG's application store next year.

Finally, the Korean company promised state-of-the-art audio performance on the phone to put the icing on the cake. Hold your breath, folks, next year is up to an amazing start and it should not be long after January when the device shows up in the United States.
