T-Mobile is expected to launch a new
affordable tablet in the coming weeks. The LG GPad X2 8.0 Plus has already been listed on the carrier's support website, but no details on price and availability have been revealed yet.
On the flip side, we have plenty of information about the slab's specs. For example, as the name suggests, the LG GPad X2 8.0 Plus sports an 8-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution. Camera-wise, the tablet seems to be pretty symmetrical thanks to the 5-megapixel snap shooters on the front and back sides.
Under the hood, LG's slate packs a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. It comes with LTE support and runs Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.
The GPad X2 8.0 Plus does not support HD Voice or
VoLTE, but it allows users to take advantage of NFC (Near Field Communication) connectivity. There's also a 4,400 mAh battery inside, which hasn't been rated by the carrier yet.
Other highlights of
LG's tablet include micro USB port, Bluetooth 4.2, and stereo speakers. Finally, it looks like the tablet will ship with a weird-looking dock (GPad Pack Plus) in the sales package.
