LG already confirmed various details about its upcoming G6 flagship smartphone. We know, for example, that the handset sports an unusual 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 2880 pixels, has a new Quad DAC (digital to analog converter) for high quality sound, and will be announced at MWC 2017 on February 26.

In a fresh video teaser, LG today revealed another thing about the G6: the phone will come with a new UI (obviously based on Android 7 Nougat). While the video - embedded above - is very short, we can see that the new interface continues to evolve in the direction set by LG G5's UX 5.0 and LG V20's UX 5.0+. Interestingly, the video reveals that the screen of the G6 has curved corners and the interface fits perfectly to them. We don't know if the interface will be dubbed LG UX 6.0, but we're going to find out later this month.

Although it will be announced on February 26, the LG G6 may not be released in the US before early April. Regardless of when it hits the market, in addition to the features presented above, the new smartphone should offer a water-resistant metal body, a Snapdragon 821 processor, improved rear and front cameras, and a 3200 mAh battery.

All in all, it looks like the G6 has the potential to make us forget about the rather disappointing LG G5.
