LG G6 could have Compact and Lite versions, trademarks suggest
Later this month, at MWC 2017, LG will announce the G6, its newest flagship smartphone that seems to represent a significant departure from last year's G5. While the G6 itself will definitely be a high-end device, LG could be working on some less advanced versions of it.
It's been discovered that LG recently trademarked various G6 smartphone names, including: G6 Compact, G6 Lite, G6 Hybrid, G6 Prix, G6 Forte, G6 Fit, G6 Young, and G6 Sense.
Of course, not all the names that companies are trademarking end up being used for real products. However, LG has a history when it comes to launching cheaper variants of its flagship phones, including the LG G5 SE, LG G3 s (essentially a mini G3), or the LG G Pro Lite.
We already know that the regular LG G6 should be a water-resistant handset with a Snapdragon 821 processor and a 5.7-inch, 1440 x 2880 pixels display. A Lite version may keep the same screen size, but not the high pixel resolution and the powerful CPU, while a Compact model would likely sport a smaller screen. Sure enough, we're merely speculating here. More info will likely be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
