LG G4 leaks in all of its glory

A major leak has taken place out of South Korea where images of the LG G4 have apparently leaked. In some of the pictures, the phone looks to be dressed in leather, an option that LG hinted at in the invitation it sent out for the April 28th event at which the handset will be unveiled. Besides leaking a number of pretty good looking photos, some of the specs of LG's new flagship phone are mentioned.

For example, the leak from Korea says that the LG G4 comes with a 5.5-inch "Quantum" display. No surprise there. The screen should feature a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The leak also mentions that the LG G4 will carry a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.8. Considering that LG has already confirmed that the rear camera on the unit would be a 16MP snapper with an f/1.8 aperture, this could be a red flag. In fact, we should take this opportunity to remind you that now would be a propitious time to head to your spice rack and grab that grain of salt that you should take this story with.

The tipsters in Korea also say that the LG G4 will come out of the box with Android 4.4.2 pre-installed instead of Android 5.0. This would seem to be very strange for a brand new flagship phone. To fill in some of the blanks, a GeekBench3 GPU test recently confirmed that the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 CPU will running the show, and an 8MP camera will grace the front of the device. One of the leaked pictures shows that the handset will be powered by a removable 3000mAh battery. The LG G4 will be available in metallic black, silk white, shine gold, burgundy red and moon violet. And of course, there is the leather back option.
