LG G3 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs LG G Pro 2 vs Oppo Find 7a: size comparison
One of the most stand-out features of the new, 5.5-inch LG G3 is its comparatively small, physical footprint. Put in numbers, 76.4% of the entire front surface area of the LG G3 is taken up by its vibrant, 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution screen. This is one of the highest screen-to-size ratios in the entire industry, according to our latest numbers.
But screen-to-size ratio sounds like a weird, almost arbitrary metric to some. We ourselves tend to disagree, especially in the current Android climate. Simply put, the advent of the larger screen has been felt throughout the entire industry, and everything, from low-end devices to giant phablets, has grown in size considerably in the past few years. This has put quite an emphasis on pocket-ability and general ergonomics, as while navigating a larger screen is a pleasure, the larger form factor can also be a hindrance in great many scenarios.
So how does the G3, which many would consider a phablet based on its diagonal alone, measure up with the rest? As you can see below, the minimal frame helps mitigate the impact of its larger-than-average flagship screen, and that means the G3 won't be much bigger in your hand than its main rivals in the Galaxy S5, Xperia Z2, and HTC One M8.
