LG G3 s / G3 Beat priced at €349 in Europe

Yesterday, LG officially introduced a smaller and less-advanced version of its G3 flagship smartphone. This will be called G3 Beat in Asia, and G3 s in Europe. While the press release announcing the new handset doesn’t contain pricing details, today we discovered that the G3 s will have a suggested retail price of €349 in Europe. The info comes from LG Germany, so it’s as official as it gets.

The G3 s should be available to buy in Germany starting mid-August, and we assume that other European countries will get it at about the same time. Before that, the smartphone will go on sale in South Korea tomorrow.

As mentioned above, the G3 s isn’t as advanced as the original LG G3, but it has the same new LG UX (on top of Android 4.4 KitKat). Its display is a 5.0-ich 720p one that’s obviously not as sharp as the 5.5-inch Quad HD screen of the larger G3. Other features include an 8MP rear camera with Laser Auto Focus, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable internal memory.

LG didn’t say if it’s planning to release the G3 s / G3 Beat in North America. We’ll let you know if we hear anything about this.
