LG G Stylo and LG Leon (T-Mobile variants) receive Android 5.1.1 Lollipop updates
T-Mobile this week started updating two of its LG smartphones to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The handsets that we're talking about are the LG G Stylo and LG Leon, both of which were launched in May by T-Mobile (running Android 5.0 Lollipop).
The Android 5.1.1 updates are being pushed over the air to the G Stylo and Leon, and, besides the newer version of Android, include a few enhancements (related to displays, and to battery life for Wi-Fi calling). You can find out more information at T-Mobile by visiting the source links included at the end of this article.
Available for $289.92 (or 24 monthly payments of $12.08), the LG G Stylo is a mid-range smartphone with LTE, a stylus pen, a large 5.7-inch 720p display, and a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. The handset also comes with an 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable storage space. The LG Leon costs $139.92, and is a more modest device, though it still offers LTE, a Snapdragon 410 processor, and 1 GB of RAM. The Leon only has 8 GB of expandable internal memory, and a 4.5-inch screen with 480 x 854 pixels.
Sprint is also selling a version of the LG G Stylo, though this one is currently still running Android 5.0 Lollipop .
