LG G Flex2 price, release date, and availability

The LG G Flex2 has already left the vast realm of rumors, as the intriguing curved representative of LG's engineering prowess debuted today, noticeably more curved than its predecessor, the G Flex. Apart from its most striking trait - the silhouette - the LG G Flex2 has a number of additional merits to court potential customers with. It's among the first devices to come with DDR4 RAM, it's also one of the first ones to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. We shouldn't forget another highlight - the self-healing rear cover, though it's not actually something we haven't seen before.

All seems good, but some of the willing adopters that want to acquire the new member of LG's G Flex line might be already wondering when the device will actually be available. Well, LG's home market, South Korea, will be treated to the "banana-shaped" device sometime before January ends, but the G Flex2 will probably appear in the rest of the world once you switch your calendars to "February mode".

As far as availability is concerned, AT&T and Sprint already revealed that they'll be offering the LG device. AT&T will have the "Platinum Silver" color variation of the G Flex2, while Sprint, in particular, will exclusively offer the "Volcano Red" one alongside the aforementioned Platinum Silver combination.

Unfortunately, we have no information about the price of the device. Rumors point that the price of the handset in the UK might gravitate towards £499 for a SIM-free device, which translates to roughly 760 bucks. Then again, these are plain rumors, so don't count on them just yet.

Update: The LG G Flex 2 has an official price tag now - EUR 599 for an unlocked version.
