LG F70 sequel spotted in India?
The LG F70 was launched early last year with a 4.5-inch screen featuring a resolution of 480 x 800. The phone is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, has 1GB of RAM inside and 4GB of native storage (with 1.5GB available to the user). Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 5MP and .3MP respectively. In other words, this is not a high-end model.
An LG handset called the Y70 was just spotted on Indian export-import site Zauba. Arriving in India from South Korea on February 5th, the phone has a 4.7-inch screen and comes with Android 5.0 out of the box. This could be the sequel to the F70.
According to a report published on Monday, variants of the device have been found with model numbers showing that the phone will be available in Mexico (LGH420F), CIS (LGH422), Europe (LGH420) and Brazil (GH422TV). So far, there is no model number for a U.S. version of the Y70. The Zauba site shows that 24 units of the handset were shipped to India for testing; so far, we have no idea when this model will be unveiled from LG. Each phone is valued at the equivalent of $85 USD.
Thanks for the tip!
