LG Cosmos and Motorola DEVOUR for sale by Verizon
The Motorola DEVOUR A555 is the 3rd Android-powered device for Verizon, however it was first made available for purchase through indirect locations, such as BestBuy the last week of February. We are now happy to report that starting today you can pick one up on the Verizon site (or by calling Telesales) for $149.99 after a $100 rebate with a 2-year contract. When we reviewed the Motorola DEVOUR earlier this month, we were impressed by the MOTOBLUR user interface and contact integration, as well as the physical QWERTY keyboard, though we did wish that it would of come with a larger and higher-resolution display, like the one found on the Motorola DROID, as well as Android 2.x instead of 1.6.
Also avaliable starting today on the Verizon site, Telesales, and store locations is the LG Cosmos VN250. The Cosmos was announced earlier this week at CTIA as it would carry a budget-friendly price of $29.99 after a $50 rebate with a 2-year contract. Features of the LG Cosmos include a sliding 4-row QWERTY keyboard, 2" QVGA display, 1.3MP camera, threaded messaging, Bluetooth 2.1, Bing search, CDMA 1x for data (no EVDO), 2.5mm headset jack, microUSB port, and supports microSDHC memory cards up to 16GB in size. Since the LG Cosmos is classified by Verizon as a "Simple Feature Phone" it will not require a data plan.
