LG Class officially announced: a relatively affordable metal-made smartphone
LG today announced a new Android smartphone called LG Class. The device is not a phablet, as initially rumored, but a 5-inch handset with rather unimpressive specs.
According to LG, the Class has a "slim metal" construction, being a "premium" phone for users on a budget. The 5-inch screen of the new handset offers a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, and is covered by glass that's slightly curved at the edges.
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the LG Class is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, and features: LTE connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, a 1W speaker, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable storage space. There's a 13 MP camera on the back, while on the front the new smartphone has the same 8 MP selfie camera that can be found on the LG G4. The LG Class measures 142 x 71.8 x 7.4 mm, weighs 147 grams, and includes a 2050 mAh battery (apparently non-removable).

Announced in South Korea, the LG Class will be available this month via all Korean mobile carriers (SKT, KT, and LG U+), costing around $339 unlocked. At the moment, it's not clear if LG is planning to release the Class (or a similar handset) in other markets.
