LG Arena is yet another touch phone
Guess what we have here – yet another touch phone “with unique interface” and all the bells and whistles one may want. The Netherlands retailer “The Phone House” has the new LG Arena (we love this name, you know) KM900 in its sales brochure, revealing its design, a little of the interface and its key features. The Arena will come with LG’s new “S-CLASS 3D user interface”, which we hope is something better than a make-up of its current software. Arena’s specs are not bad, with Wi-Fi, GPS, and 5-megapixel camera with DVD-quality video, but nothing impressive when compared to the 8-megapixel Renoir that also offers it all.
So what we have here – probably LG’s mid-level multimedia friendly touch phone, filling the gap between the high-end Renoir and the low-end Cookie. It will have a few versions, and FCC already approved one with 3G on the 850/1900 MHz bands, suitable for usage with AT&T. We expect to see it officially announced at the MWC 2009 show in two weeks, so expect our first impressions then.
