LG ARENA now officially revealed
After LG teased its blog readers with only a photo of its new phone and unofficial sources had revealed its features, today, the Korean manufacturer officially announced a few details in a press release. The only new information is that it will be called ARENA, instead of Arena, but this isn’t really what makes or breaks a phone, is it? LG confirms that the name of its new interface is “3D S-Class UI” and that the pages on the homescreen are for fast access to the multimedia content. LG Mobile’s President and CEO calls the ARENA “a fully loaded multimedia phone” as we expected, and it is said to “feature audio and video technologies never before seen on a mobile phone.” Whether this will be a mobile TV tuner (pretty standard) or HD video playback on the 800x480 pixel screen is not yet announced, but everything will be clear once it is showcased at the MWC 2009 show next week, so expect our hands-on. What do you think? Will the LG ARENA beat the Samsung Acme, or, similarly to the Renoir, will not be as good as its specifications?
