Kohl's Will Sell the Apple Watch from November 15

American department store chain Kohl's will start selling the Apple Watch at 400 of its 1,1000 stores on November 15. Taking advantage of its well-endowed set of sports tracking features, Kohl's will place the Apple Watch in its active wear and wellness departments, rather than together with all the other electronic gadgets.

Reportedly, the active wear and wellness category is on its way to generate 20% of Kohl's sales in the future. For example, after two years of partnership, FitBit has become a $100 million dollar a year business for the chain.

According to the store, this partnership is a way for Apple to "add hundreds more distribution points beyond the city centers that typically house Apple stores, and reach a more modest-income shopper." For customers, this is just one more place nearby where they can get to see the Apple Watch, and potentially buy it. The chain will stock 10 kinds of Apple Watches, shown on four-foot-tall display fixtures that showcase four different models.
