Keep an eye on how fast you're going with Samsung's speedometer app for the Gear S3
Although the hype surrounding smartwatches may not be as strong as it was this time last year, there are still plenty of solid contenders out there that are very much deserving of a place on your wrist. The Apple Watch Series 1 and 2 are your best bets if you own an iPhone, tons of Android Wear options exist for fans of Google's wearable platform, and Samsung's latest Gear S3 packs a pretty incredibly punch. The watch may be a bit on the higher end of the spectrum in regards to price, but it is undoubtedly one of the most fully-featured wearables that currently exists.
Samsung has just released a brand-new app for the Gear S3, aptly titled "Speedometer for Gear." The new speedometer apps utilizes the built-in GPS in the Gear S3 to generate real-time results for how fast the wearer of the watch is moving at any given time. In addition to a simple numerical readout, the app is also able to generate a graph of your speed so you can see which times you were moving the fastest and the slowest, and the app is even capable of storing data for you to view later on.

This may not be the most ground-breaking or earth-shattering feature that we've ever seen, but it should prove to be a useful addition for anyone interested in that kind of data. The app is 2.68-megabytes in size, and it can be downloaded to your Gear S3 now.
