The Vivo X9 and X9 Plus are expected to be unveiled on November 16th. Today, the X9 was spotted on the Geekbench website where it was tested with the Snapdragon 625 chipset under the hood. Previous leaks called for the Snapdragon 653 SoC to be driving the model. While being put through the Geekbench test, the Snapdragon 625 SoC was running the octa-core CPU at a clock speed of 2.02GHz.
Despite talk that the X9 will carry 6GB of RAM, the Geekbench test showed 4GB of RAM inside the handset instead. Android 6.0.1 was loaded on the phone. The model scored 954 on the single-core test, and 5070 on the multi-core test.
The Vivo X9 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A 13MP camera will be on back with a dual camera setup in front. Those two cameras should weigh in at 20MP and 8MP. A 3050mAh camera keeps the lights on. The Vivo X9 is said to be priced at the equivalent of $384 USD, although a second variant of the phone could cost more than the equivalent of $443 USD.
The Vivo X9 Plus is reportedly equipped with a 5.88-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 653 SoC powers the phone, which will offer the same front-facing dual camera setup of 20MP and 8MP that are on the X9. But unlike the latter, the X9 Plus will also have dual cameras in the back. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of native storage, and a 4000mAh battery keeps the hamster wheel spinning.
