Jabra campaigns to make aware the "cellbow" problem
Alright, you can argue about all the bad things that can happen as a result of using cell phones for an extended amount of time – there's of course myriad of reports about it causing cancer that comes into mind. But would you think a condition called “cellbow” could be so prevalent that it would cause a veteran Bluetooth headset maker to promote a campaign around its impact? Jabra has longed been known as an mobile phone accessory maker, but their most recent initiative really does make you wonder about their marketing staff. In a move to advertise their line of Bluetooth headsets, Jabra is on the prowl of making aware the condition called cellbow – which essentially is a problem that takes some comical cues in a video they've come up with. We're not going to go in detail about the video, but it does make you wonder if they were really serious about the whole thing – especially when you find a sea captain sporting a hook after problems that seemingly came from cellbow. The ultimate outcome is the fact that Jabra would rather see people use a Bluetooth headset as opposed to lifting their cell phone to their ear for an extended amount of time – which could result in causing some harm to your elbow. Rather than taking a serious approach to the whole problem, Jabra indirectly compares it to some other underlying problem that affected males in its video.
