JAM Voice wireless speaker now out, features Amazon Alexa Voice Services
JAM Audio has started selling one of the first non-Amazon speakers to offer integrated with the Amazon Alexa Voice Service. It allows users to control smart home devices, stream music, browse headlines, and get all kinds of information using voice commands. You can also connect other JAM Wi-Fi speakers to tell JAM Voice which rooms need music played.
Additionally, JAM Voice is able to solve equations, look up facts and figures, perform metric conversions, and do other smart stuff such as set alarms and maintain shopping lists. As it uses the same cloud-based Alexa Voice Service technology as the Amazon Echo, JAM Voice will keep growing smarter with new features and learns from its users' behaviors.
Sold in Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohn's, Amazon, and PC Richards, the JAM Voice retails for $70. It might make good company for Yumi, the Alexa-powered Android robot.
The JAM is also sold in Black
