It's official: golden HTC One now a carat-free reality
Golden-colored phones are trending, and HTC is by no means oblivious to that reality. Its flagship – the HTC One – has already gone through the luxurious treatment once before, and now the Taiwanese company is banking on the publicity, in what is probably one of the very last attempts to jump-start the sales of the aging device.
Unlike other editions, however, this time around the HTC One is completely carat-free, meaning that it's simply colored in gold. This actually marks the fifth available color for the One, as we already have silver, black, blue and red designs on market.
Internally, the device features the same hardware, including a quad-core Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 4-megapixel 'Ultrapixel' shooter and a 1080p, 4.7-inch display.
It's currently unclear which exact markets will see the golden HTC One, nor when, though Finnish Gigantti is already listing it with a December 12th shipping date and a €625 ($845) price tag.
