Is this what HTC's first Android Wear smartwatch looks like?

In case you were hoping that HTC’s first smartwatch would feature a round design (like Motorola’s Moto 360), it looks like you’ll be in for a disappointment.

@evleaks today posted a render of what is said to be an HTC Android Wear smartwatch (quite possibly the company’s very first model). Reportedly, the “hardware is 100% faithful reproduction,” while the Sense UI-like skin isn’t real. As you can see on the left, the alleged HTC Android Wear watch doesn’t look too different from Samsung’s Gear Live and LG’s G Watch (both of which are already available to buy). However, the HTC device seems to have a metal wristband, whereas the watches made by Samsung and LG normally come with plastic / rubber bands.

There’s no word on what features the HTC Android Wear smartwatch will bring, and neither on when we should expect to see it in stores. Anyway, according to previous rumors, HTC intends to release several wearable devices before the end of the year, most likely including this smartwatch. We’re expecting the device to cost around $200, as this seems to be the standard price for smartwatches. Let's hope more details about this will be available soon.
