Is the HTC Vision just a QWERTY packing HTC Desire?
Although there is an abundance of touch-only Android powered smartphones out of HTC's camp, they've been relatively skimp in the physical QWERTY options – although we're on the verge of seeing the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide come out. The HTC Vision was just recently spotted alongside some other potential HTC handsets in a recent leak, but now there are reports on how it'll become one of the newest high-end HTC Android phones. It's speculated that the HTC Vision will look quite similar to the HTC Desire, but it'll obviously sport a a physical QWERTY, WVGA touchscreen, and maybe Android 2.2 – this all comes from Tweakers.net where its UA profile looks similar to the Desire. So far we've seen only a handful of mid-range Android smartphones packing QWERTY keyboards, but we have yet to truly witness something extraordinary that can substantially separate itself from the existing crop. Motorola definitely has a hit with the DROID, but it still doesn't exude that true premium handset feel in its specs as there are a lot of people coveting something with awe-inspiring specs – that's until the Motorola Shadow shows up of course.
