Is Sony Ericsson planning to release an Android flavored Walkman phone?
Now not more than speculation and a box, Sony Ericsson is said to be working on an Android flavored Walkman phone called the W15. The phone is supposed to resemble the XPERIA 8 and is loaded with specs that are anything but high-end. The W15 is expected to come with a 3 inch HVGA screen and a 600MHz processor with a 3.2MP camera on the back.

The device will have a custom UI and a special audio chip. A launch could come as soon as this month or in May. So far there has been no word on where the Sony Ericsson W15 will first be released or on how much it will cost.

If this turns out to be more than just a rumor and a box, it will be a nice comeback for the Walkman name which has not been seen on a cellphone for some time.
