It's no surprise that texting has become the fastest form of communication. Teenagers especially rely on it and sometimes altogether forget about making phone calls. For one Iowa teen, all her hard work texting on her phone has paid of huge winning a competition prize of $50,000. Kate Moore, who only got her first cell phone eight months ago, beat out twenty other finalists from around the country to win the U.S. National Texting Championship sponsored by LG Electronics. The Iowa teen had some surprising words to parents across the land - “Let your kid text during dinner! Let your kid text during school! It pays off.” Sure it may come in handy training some time for an event, but parents may still not take that advice. The event was pretty intense with contenders required to text on their phones while blindfolded and maneuvering through moving obstacles.
